I fell in love with dusk,
The way the darkness always came,
The shadows stretched and howled,
And the nocturn's played their game.

I fell in love with moonlight
And the stars which fade away,
Forever out of reach
And disappearing with the day.

I fell in love with loneliness,
The company of death,
The constant of the universe,
Still there in our last breath.

I fell in love with twisted words
And fallen, broken minds.
In horror of the human head
There's comfort that mine finds.

I fell in love with dreams of death
And ever-growing sin.
I realise I fell apart;
In death I hold my grin.
